Sarah and I received an extremely exciting email last week.
Brief background first;
I was diagnosed with ADHD in May last year.
Sarah was diagnosed with AuDHD in January last year.
We both took to socials as a way of learning about our brains, and trying to help other’s move forward in their own lives.
Hey!DHD was born because the lack of support after being diagnosed is shocking.
Diagnosed - medicated - goodbye.
We’re not okay with that.
We want to see better education, both in schools and healthcare.
We want to see ongoing support for those diagnosed, aside from simply taking meds.
We want to see positive messages being spread about ADHD, instead of the drivel we’re seeing in the news of late.
Turns out; people vibe with that message.
And some kind soul went as far as nominating us for a National Diversity Award!
We’re shocked to say the least, but immensely grateful to be recognised as positive role models for the ADHD community.
As late-diagnosed ADHDers, we’ve spent a lifetime being criticised and shamed for simply being.
While the post-diagnosis journey has been difficult, we feel we’re dropping our masks, we’re meeting our own needs, we’re happy.
We won’t quit.
We’ll push through challenges to make sure each & every one of you can finally live authentically.
Sarah & I would like to thank all of you for being on this journey with us, for having faith in us, for growing with us.
We don’t ask for praise or recognition.
To be quite frank, we cringe at simple compliments.
But it’s an honour to have been put forward for this award.

With gratitude, love & spice,
Chris & Sarah
Hey!DHD Co-founders
Hey guys!
I just wanna thank you for the support you guys give on both your socials. I have learned so much from you both. And I have been able to pass on what you have taught me to others...which is what life is about, right?
